Shape and Size Tolerances |
|
Dimensional tolerances must be specified by the purchaser at the time of order and determined according to ISO 286-2 as given in Table 1. Unless otherwise specified at the time of ordering, dimensional tolerances should be as stated below: |
|
a) |
Cold Drawn round bars or turned bars: (Table 2) h10, |
b) |
For hexagonal and square cold-drawn bars: acc. to Table 1 and Table 2, h11 for dimensions ≤ 80 mm, h12 for dimensions> 80 mm, |
c) |
For ground products: h9 according to Table 1 and Table 2, |

Inspection and Tests |
|
Dimensional inspection should be done as follows: |
a) |
For round bars: At least 150 mm from the end of the bar, |
b) |
For cut length round bars: At a distance of at least 10 mm from the end of the bar, |
c) |
For non-round bars: At least 25 mm from the end of the bar. |
